Shorter cranks open the hip angle at the top of the pedal stroke. On a road bike that means you can hold a lower front end without your thighs closing against your chest. On a TT or tri bike it is the difference between an aero position you can sustain for ninety kilometres and one you abandon at forty. The pros moved first. The rest of the market is still catching up.
The Aerox is 325g ±15g on a DUB 28.99mm axle, with a 147mm Q-factor and 44mm chainline. The spider interface is EASTON-compatible, so it takes a standard 110 BCD 4-bolt ring or a power meter spider without adapters.

Crank length is a fit decision, not a preference. It follows from your femur length, your hip mobility, and how low you intend to ride at the front. Come in for a fit before you buy a crank — this is one of the few components where the wrong number costs you both comfort and power.
